For the opening of Playa Pacha Dubai on October 17 with Carl Cox, we envisioned a show that blends illusion, poetry, and powerful visual impact.
A giant 40x20 meter transparent scrim, suspended over the sea by a crane, will transform the dark horizon into an illusory stage, visible from every point of the venue.
The darkest and previously unused side of the resort, facing the sea, becomes
the
opportunity to create a parallel world: “objects floating in the sky.”
With this kind of projection, everything will appear real, in a play of illusions that
gives the project its very name: Houdini.
Although the scenic effect may seem complex, the magic arises from a simple setup:
a crane, a fabric screen, and projectors which, combined with images and music,
weave a poetic and immersive narrative.
The added value is twofold: a show of this kind has never been staged before in the
world, and the emphasis on illusion and optical magic will make it unforgettable.
Added to this is a poetic aesthetic, where every image flows in harmony with sound.
